OMG!!! she forgot the cardnal rule, NEVER CUT YOUR PATTERN!!!!!! what will she do if she likes the pattern but needs it in a smaller size?????? Chalk your pattern on the fabric and then cut, DUH!!!!

Um… You should …
Um… You should measure yourself BEFORE you cut your pattern! Then make changes to the pattern by copying it on another piece of paper and altering as necessary. I have found that patterns never fit right so you have to alter them to fit your body. Oh and you can cut pattern paper with fabric shears, you shouldnt cut regular paper, but pattern paper is okay…

She’s cutting the pattern paper with dressmaking shears as it’s pinned to the fabric?!
I w2as taught to use one pair of scissors for paper and use dressmakers shears for fabric only so it won’t mess up the blades. tisk tisk tisk

do you think the pattern is made of priceless irreplaceable matter? she can cut the pattern if she wants to, now can’t she? there is no cardinal rule against cutting a pattern. if she needs it smaller next time, obviously she can still go smaller. she can even go bigger next time from a cut pattern. her bigger concern is all that puckering in the other video..which would produce an unwearable garment.
